NTPC commissions India’s largest floating solar project in Telangana

NTPC Ltd has installed the country’s largest floating solar project of 100 mega-watt (MW) at Ramagundam, Telangana. This comes after it had attained renewable energy capacity of 2 giga-watt (GW) with the commissioning of 92 MW rated capacity floating solar plant in Kerala a few days back. As part of the government’s plan to shift towards cleaner sources of power, NTPC has revised its 2032 target for renewables to 60 GW from 30 GW.
