Amid strong demand for RB3 grade South African coal, major traders are heard to be offering the material at higher rates of INR 16,000/t at Vizag Port. Portside offers for RB2 (5500 NAR) are heard at INR 18,000/t. Imported offers of RB3 coal stand at $160/t while those of RB2 grade are at $200/t FOB basis. Prices have gone up in line with the surge in gas prices in Europe.
