Weak demand in finished steel and as manufacturers look to clear stocks before the end of financial year, has resulted in Billet price fall by Rs 500/MT at Hyderabad.
“Price are likely to remain at Rs 31,300/MT (basic) in the week ahead”, said a manufacturer.
Rumor of high power tariff by 20-25%.in C.G, A.P and Maharashtra in May has pushed up prices in few places.
Manufacturers are approaching state board electricity to defer the price revision on grounds of non viability.
It is also heard that w.e.f. April 1, truck owners association might call for a strike on diesel price hike.
