- China’s pig iron imports rose sharply by 64.41% m-o-m in May’22 to 80,325 t from 48,855 t in Apr, as per customs data.
- Brazil was the largest exporter at 30,353 t, followed by Russia at 24,972 t.
- However, import volumes fell by 44% to 672,962 t in Jan-May’22 as against 1,193,479 t in the year-ago period.
