Taiwan: Silico manganese imports drop 7% m-o-m in May’22

Taiwan’s silico manganese imports fell 7% m-o-m to 10,026 t in May’22 against 10,831 t in Apr’22. Additionally, ferro manganese imports increased by 50% to 8,540 t in May. Imports of silico manganese increased by 24% on an annual basis to 56,126 t in Jan-May’22. Taiwan’s major suppliers of silico manganese were India, with 5,638 t, down by 15%, followed by Malaysia, China, and Vietnam.
