Indonesia: Steel billet imports fall nearly 15% on month in April

Indonesia’s steel billet imports fell 14.26% m-o-m in Apr’22 to 0.34 mnt from 0.39 mnt in Mar, as per data recently released by customs.
Oman was the largest exporter at 0.21 mnt followed by Russia at 0.08 mnt.
However, import volumes remained largely stable at 1.24 mnt on year in Jan-Apr’22 as against 1.27 mnt in the year-ago period.
