Domestic old LPG cylinder scrap auctions saw prices trending down this week, dropping by INR 7,000-8,000/t compared to the previous week. Correction in prices of semis trigerred the drop in auction prices. IOCL and HPCL regularly recycle scrap obtained from damaged gas cylinders. This scrap is cut and shredded by recycling plants and sold to furnaces for melting.
