Vizag Steel held an auction for 1,250 t of steel grade pig iron on 25 May’22. As per market sources, the base price was set at around INR 48,000/t, but buyers showed no interest and the auction closed without a single bid being placed. At the company’s previous auction on 9 May, the entire quantity was booked at a weighted average price of INR 56,000/t exw.
