China: Steel inventory rises significantly at CISA mills in mid-May

Steel inventory at Chinese mills in mid-May’22 stood at 19.97 mnt, an increase of 1.22 mnt or 6.55% from the previous month, as per CISA data. In the first 10 days of the month, inventory increased by 310,200 t and compared with the beginning of the year inventory increased by 8.68 mnt. As against the same period of last year, steel inventory increased by 5.33 mnt, up 36.46%.
