Australian premium hard coking coal prices fell marginally by $5/t d-o-d to $520/t FOB on 23 May’22. Prices fell due to weaker demand. Indian buyers moved to the sidelines as they assessed the removal of import duties on coking coal and met coke. However, any major downward correction is unlikely due to rains and labour shortage in Australia.
