SAIL held an auction for 4,800 tonnes of basic grade pig iron (in 48 units) on 20 May 2022 from the Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP). Buyers booked the 33 unit ( 3,300 t) quantity at a weighted average price of INR 50,815/t exw. Bid prices decreased by INR 1,208/t ($15/t) against the previous auction from RSP held on 14 May.
