Tokyo Steel, Japan’s largest EAF steelmaker, has kept monthly steel prices unchanged for Jun’22 sales. Volatility in steel prices globally was a key factor, with the company waiting for the market to absorb the hike in prices effected in Apr.
- HRC prices are currently at JPY 123,000/t ($954/t)
- Rebar and H-beam prices: JPY 102,000/t ($792/t) and JPY 124,000/t ($962/t) respectively.
