Japan: STS Cold Rolling Price Expected to Reach JPY 550,000/t in May’22

The Japanese cold-rolled stainless steel transaction price is expected to reach JPY 550,000/t ($4,210/t) in May 2022, It is the first time in 14 years that Japan’s 304 stainless steel cold rolled products exceeded JPY 500,000/t ($3,827/t). In April, the shipment price of stainless steel sheet in Japan rose by JPY 65,000/t ($497/t), as per SteelDaily reports.
