India: BF rebar prices edge down w-o-w on need-based procurement

BF-route rebar prices edged down by up to INR 1,000/t ($13/t) in the key markets today owing to sluggish demand in the trade segment on the expectation of a revision by mills in the near-term and limited buying from downstream sectors. Current prices for rebar (12-32mm, IS1786 Fe500D) stand at INR 71,000-72,000/t ($927-940/t) on exy-Mumbai basis, excluding GST at 18%.
