- Tata Metaliks recorded the highest-ever sales of pig iron and DI pipe from its Kharagpur plant at 341,000 t and 237,000 t respectively in FY’22.
- Increased investment in water infrastructure kept demand for DI pipes robust. Pig iron prices surged in Mar’22 and are expected to remain firm on surging exports amid disruption in global supply because of the Ukraine-Russia war, the company’s annual report stated.
