India: Maithan cuts ferro alloys output by 50% due to power cuts in Andhra

Maithan Ferro Alloys with a capacity of 120,000 t/year in Vishakhapatnam, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Impex Metal and Ferro Alloys (capacity: 46,900 t/year) have reduced ferro alloys production by around 50% due to the prevailing power shortage in Andhra Pradesh. The Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission has reduced power supply to industrial units by 50%.
