Total production of crude steel in the 2nd 10-day period of April, 2022, from the key steel mills under the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) purview was 22.36 million tonnes (mnt), pig iron was at 19.56 mnt, and finished steel 21.55 mnt.
The daily output of crude steel was 2.24 mnt, up 0.52% from the level seen in the preceding 10-day period. Pig iron daily output averaged 1.96 mnt, down 0.39% from the preceding 10-day period. The daily output of finished steel was 2.155 mnt, up 3.2% from the level seen in the previous 10-day period.
