India’s top 5 iron ore producers in FY’22

PSU miner NMDC emerged as India’s top iron ore producer in FY’22, with production reaching 42.15 mnt, an increase of 23% y-o-y. While SAIL was the second-largest producer at 34.13 mnt, JSW Steel came third with 30.82 mnt. Tata Steel’s production was recorded at 30 mnt. Notably, OMC’s iron ore output increased by over 100% on the year to 27 mnt, SteelMint data show.
