Iran: Export tariff announcement weighs on domestic billet, rebar prices

Iran’s domestic billet and rebar prices kept edging lower after the announcement of export tariffs on various products including steel by the Iranian Deputy Minister of Mines and Materials, sources informed SteelMint.

• Steel billets prices fell sharply by 3,500 Rial/Kg to 157,500 Rial/Kg as against the closing on 13 Apr’22.
• Rebar prices stood at 175,000 Rial/Kg on 18 Apr, a sharp fall of 2,500 Rial/Kg.
