Pellet prices in Durgapur decreased today, as per SteelMint assessment. The current assessment for pellet (Fe 63%) stands at INR 10,300/t exw-Durgapur, down INR 200/t compared to the last assessment of INR 10,500/t on 8 Apr’22. Also, deals of around 5,000 t were concluded by a Durgapur-based player at INR 10,000-10,500/t exw during the present assessment period. Purchases were limited due to the drop in pellet-based sponge iron (PDRI) prices.
