USA: Pig iron imports fall by nearly 40%, m-o-m, in Feb’22

The USA’s pig iron imports fell sharply by 39.10% in Feb’22 to 0.39 mnt compared with 0.64 mnt in Jan, as per data released by customs.
Russia was the largest exporter at 0.21 mnt, followed by Ukraine and Brazil at 0.12 and 0.03 mnt, respectively.
Imports from all the key exporting countries witnessed a decline, thereby impacting total volumes.
