The Japanese stainless-steel mill fixed the price of HC Ferro chrome at record levels of US Cents 224/lb for Q2 (Apr-Jun’22), up 19% from the previous quarter. An increase in the European benchmark prices by 36 cents/lb q-o-q, coupled with high production cost amid rising energy costs and high freight rates pushed the purchase prices to record highs following negotiations with multiple overseas ferro-chrome producers.
