Indonesia: Steel billets imports rise by over 60%, m-o-m, in Feb’22

Indonesia’s steel billets imports rose sharply by 60.49% in Feb’22 to 0.31 mnt compared with 0.19 mnt in Jan, as per customs data.
Oman was the largest exporter with 0.16 mnt, followed by India at 0.05 mnt.
Also, import volumes increased marginally by 7% y-o-y to reach 0.51 mnt as against 0.48 mnt in Jan-Feb’21.
