India: Sponge iron export offers drop by $20/t

Sponge iron (FeM 80%, 100% lump) export prices to Bangladesh fell by $20/t to $530/t CPT Benapole, equivalent to $560/t CFR Chittagong, Bangladesh, as per SteelMint’s weekly assessment.
About 5,000 t of deals were reported this week.
Prices edged down following a correction in the domestic market to the tune of INR 2,000-2,500/t ($26-33), w-o-w, on softening raw material prices and weak demand.
