India: Dull demand weighs on patra prices across markets

HR strip (patra) prices decreased by INR 1,000/t in Mandi Gobindgarh and INR 500/t in Raipur on 31 Mar’22 on soft demand in the domestic market. Current offers for base grade patra (148-200 mm, 2mm thick) are assessed at INR 61,500/t exw Mandi and INR 60,000/t exw Raipur, down INR 500/t d-o-d. SteelMint reported patra prices in Raipur at INR 63,000/t and at INR 63,500/t in Mandi last week. Prices exclude GST.
