- Domestic 316 grade stainless steel scrap prices increased by INR 5,000/t ($79/t) today to INR 254,000/t ($3,327/t) but no visible change is seen for 304 grade which stands today INR 179,000/t ($2,345/t).
- The prices were not aligned with the steep rise in LME futures because of enough scrap availability and lower holding capacity of sellers.
- Nickel prices continued to remain volatile at LME, touching $37,235/t after rising 15%, the daily trading limit.
