India: Rebar production slips 7%, m-o-m, in Feb’22

Indian mills churned out 2.88 mnt of rebars in Feb’22, down by almost 7% against 3.09 mnt seen in Jan’22, as per Joint Plant Committee (JPC) data. On y-o-y basis, the same inched up 3% against 2.80 mnt in Feb’21. Major mills, except JSW Steel, reported a decline in production volumes. JSW produced 0.11 mnt of rebars in February, up by 3% m-o-m.
