SAIL conducted an auction today for 6,000 t (60 kg, 9-13 metres) full-length commercial rails from the Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP). Buyers booked the total quantity at a weighted average price of INR 55,800/t exw. Bid prices increased by INR 11,900/t compared to the previous auction on 16 Feb at which 5,000 t of rails were booked at INR 43,900/t exw.
