Russia: Ferrous scrap exports plunge in Jan’22

Russia’s ferrous scrap exports in Jan’22 plunged 96% m-o-m, as per SteelMint data.
The country exported 19,850 t of scrap as against 500,000 t in Dec’21.
Belarus was the largest importer with 15,579 t, followed by South Korea with 1,382 t.
Meanwhile, exports plunged 97% y-o-y as Russia had exported 763,000 t in Jan’21.
