India: Vedanta increases pig iron offers by INR 3,000/t ($39/t)

  • Vedanta Resources, a leading domestic pig iron manufacturer based in western India, has further raised prices by INR 3,000/t ($39/t) for buyers in Gujarat and Maharashtra. Current offers for foundry grade pig iron are assessed at around INR 61,500/t DAP Ahmedabad.
  • Rising coal, coke and steel prices amidst bullish trends globally are driving the surge in prices, SteelMint notes.
