India: ESL Steel hikes long steel prices by up to INR 6,000/t ($78/t)

Vedanta subsidiary ESL Steel has hiked rebar prices by INR 6,000/t ($78/t), while wire rods prices have been raised by INR 3,500/t ($46/t) for Mar’22, sources revealed. Effective prices:

• Rebar (12-32mm): INR 74,000-74,500/t ($963-970/t)
• Wire rods (5.5-6mm, SAE1008): INR 69,500-70,000/t ($905-911/t)
• Prices mentioned are exclusive of 18% GST on exy-Delhi basis.
