Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan fell by RMB 20/t ($3/t) on 8 Mar’22 following a sharp fall in rebar futures. Prices stood at RMB 4,790/t ($758/t), inclusive of 13% VAT. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s SHFE re-bar futures contract for May’22 delivery closed today at RMB 4,956/t ($785/t), witnessing a sharp fall of RMB 138/t ($22/t), d-o-d.
