Indonesia’s benchmark coal price, also known as the Harga Batubara Acuan (HBA), has risen to $203.7/t for Mar’22, as against $188/t last month. The sharp rise in prices came amidst elevated global prices surrounding the rising tension between Russia and Ukraine. Tight domestic supplies in Indonesia continues to keep shipments under pressure as miners are required to meet Domestic Market Obligation (DMO).
