Turkey: Imported scrap prices rise by over $50/t in recent deal

Turkey’s deep-sea ferrous scrap import prices continued to rise by $50-60/t in a recent deal.
A steel mill booked a Baltic-origin cargo comprising 23,000 t HMS 1&2 (80:20) at $585/t CFR Turkey and 12,000 t of shredded and bonus material at $610/t CFR each, Turkey in the Mediterranean region.
Turkey’s ferrous scrap imports remained almost stable m-o-m at 2.46 mnt in Jan’22, SteelMint data shows.
