LME aluminium futures hit record high in Feb’22

Aluminium futures on the London Metal exchange (LME) hit a record high of $3,525/t on 28 Feb’22 as a result of the Ukraine-Russia war, $45/t higher than the previous highest.
Notably, the three-month futures contract price hit a record high on 24 Feb for the first time in 14 years.
On the same day, prices rose 13% compared to the beginning of Feb and 22% from the beginning of CY’22.
