Ukraine: Steel major Metinvest declares force majeure

Ukrainian steelmaker Metinvest has declared force majeure due to the invasion by Russia and martial law coming into force, with military blockade of ports and threat to destruction of land infrastructure. The integrated steel major, which produces more than 40 mnt/year of iron ore and 13-14 mnt of crude steel, has declared that the ongoing war has rendered it incapable of satisfying contractual obligations.
