The onset of the Russia-Ukraine war has pushed up Australian coking coal prices. Prices for the Australian premium HCC FOB coal have risen by $17/t to $457/t, FOB basis. Fears of coal supply disruptions from Russia after sanctions are imposed by western nations led to the increased demand and prices of Australian coal.
