India: Manganese ore imports down by 30% m-o-m in Jan’22

India’s manganese ore imports fell by 30% in January to 0.49 mnt from 0.70 mn t in Dec’21, as per customs data maintained with SteelMint. Imports decreased due to high inventory with sellers and lack of buying in the domestic market. Meanwhile, on y-o-y basis, India’s manganese ore imports increased by 38% in January.
