With continuous rise in prices, Raipur-based steel wire rod manufacturers saw weak trade enquiries and transactions in the last two days. This resulted in price drop by INR 500/t to INR 53,000/t on 18 Feb’22. Weak sentiments in semi-finished steel halted the bulk trade activity, forcing suppliers to give trade discounts up to INR 1,500/t in the spot market.
