The offer prices of Australian 5500 NAR coal have risen to $165/t FOB, up by $21/t m-o-m amid higher thermal coal prices globally while bids were heard at $157/t. Tight supply from Indonesia and Russia has compelled several buyers including Japan, and South Korea to look for alternative sources. Adverse weather conditions in Australia continue to keep its supply tight, thereby pushing prices higher.
