EU-27 scrap exports increase 20.8% in Jan-Sept’21

The EU-27 remained the world’s leading steel scrap exporter in growing its outbound shipments by 20.8% to 14.6 mnt in Jan-Sept’21.
Turkey was the largest buyer with 9.76 mnt, followed by Egypt and USA with 1.44 mnt and 0.49 mnt respectively.
However, shipments to Pakistan declined by 17.4% to 0.49 mnt and to India by 27.3% to 0.35 mnt in the period under review.
