Brazil: Manganese ore exports fall by 80%, m-o-m, in Jan’22

Brazil’s manganese ore exports dropped by 80% m-o-m in Jan’22 to 34,000 t from 164,117 t in Dec. The sharp fall in exports of low-grade manganese ore can be attributed to sufficient inventory held by the buyers. The major importers of Brazilian manganese ore in Jan were China (29,763 t), Colombia (1,311 t) and the UAE (1,484 t).
