SAIL conducted an auction today for 8,000 t (60 kg) of full-length commercial rails from Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP). Buyers booked the entire quantity at a weighted average price of INR 43,400/t exw, sources informed. Bid prices increased by INR 1,950/t compared to the previous auction on 20 Jan at which 6,500 t of rails were booked at INR 41,450/t exw.
