SE Asia: Billet import prices rise as CIS suppliers raise offers

South East Asian billet import price indications rose significantly following the hike in CIS offers after bookings in the region were concluded at higher prices. SteelMint assesses SE Asian billet import prices at $670/t CFR Manila against $658/t CFR levels last week, a significant increase of $12/t, w-o-w. Meanwhile, Thailand’s billet import prices are hovering at around $670/t CFR, up $20-30/t on the week.
