Re-bar offers have gone down by INR 500/MT in Maharashtra, one of the major Re-bar producing state of India. 12 mm Re-bar is being traded at INR 34,600/MT in Jalna and at INR 35,100/MT in Goa. Prices were quoted less by INR 500/MT in both cities because of low trading activities in Goa and a price cut of INR 400/MT of Billet in Jalna.
In North and South India i.e., Muzaffarnagar and Hyderabad, Re-bar manufacturers have cut their prices by INR 200-300/MT from last trade as semi finish product prices went down by INR 200-300/MT.
On the other hand Central region of India is showing negligible changes from last few days. 12 mm Re-bar is offered in the range of INR 31,600-32,100/MT in Raipur.
SteelMint heard from its sources that primary steel producers are about to increase finish long prices by INR 500/MT for Oct'13. Increment in finish long prices by primary players can hold the downward trend of secondary finish long market.
