Melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market rose by INR 200/t on 31 Jan’22. Heavy melting scrap (HMS 80:20) prices are assessed at INR 40,400/t exy, while attachment scrap prices are at INR 41,400/t exy. Sellers raised offers today following moderate transactions in semis and finished steel on Saturday, with sharp price hikes across regions.
