India’s pellet (Fe 64%, 3% Al) export index (FOB east coast) has risen to $166/t, up $13/t today compared to $153/t on 25 Jan’22. Recent export deals were recorded from eastern India to China at higher prices. The index climbed on improved trades, rise in global iron ore prices and a positive demand outlook post CNY holidays. Benchmark iron ore fines (Fe 62%) prices increased to $147.9/t CNF China on 28 Jan.
