Major Indian steel producer Tata Steel has raised rebar (12-32mm) prices by INR 1,000/t ($13/t) to INR 59,000/t ($791/t) for end-Jan’22 sales, sources informed SteelMint. Prices are on exy-Mumbai basis, excluding GST at 18%. SteelMint reported that other leading primary producers have raised prices on strong demand and the rise in coking coal prices.
