Vietnam: Domestic scrap prices inch up on supply tightness

Scrap prices in Vietnam have increased further on limited availability amid Covid concerns and the hike in imported scrap offers.
The procurement prices of H1 and H2 grades are at VND 12,500/kg ($543/t) and VND 12,200/kg ($530/t), respectively, a marginal rise of 100 VND /kg ($4.3/t) compared to prices assessed on 17 Jan’22.
Import prices of Japanese bulk H2 scrap are assessed at $510-515/t CFR.
