An Odisha-based mill has concluded 3,800 t of steel grade pig iron deals at INR 40,500/t exw. Prices have risen by INR 1,500/t against deals at INR 39,000/t on 11 Jan’22.
- Prices in Durgapur have increased by INR 3,000/t on the week to INR 43,800-44,000/t exw.
- Rising steel, coal and coke prices are supporting pig iron prices along with slight supply shortage on resumption of exports.
